K-J Exchange Festival, Around 12,000 Joined

12,000 participants joined the K-J Exchange Festival and requested to grant them local suffrage = 18th

¡¼Osaka¡½The 'K-J Exchange Festival', requesting for a grant of local suffrage for permanent foreign residency, was held at ¡®The Square of Sun¡¯ in Osakajyo park in Chuogu, Osaka City. Mindan Osaka Local HQ (Head Kim Han-Ik) hosted it. Thanks to the 33 Local HQs, subsidiary branches, and friendly Japanese groups. Around 12,000 numbers of Zainichis and civilians has gathered in Mindan Osaka. It was the first time of that gathering to have that kind of size since 10 years ago.

Decided 'Realization of Local Suffrage'

Representative Head Kim explained the purpose of the gathering, ¡°We will realize our wish for local suffrage while building the trust to each other with an exchange for each other¡±. Mindan Central HQ Head Jung Jin greeted, ¡°Let¡¯s start our strong will to resolve the issue in Osaka!¡±

Regarding this, Governor Hashimoto Toru and Mayor Shiramatz Kunio Osaka appealed, ¡°Japan should build a trustable and good relationship with Korea, China and Asian nations¡±. The following attended: 5 friendly Japanese groups such as government parties, 7 congressmen from Osaka and 18 municipal assembly members. Finally, Chairman Lee Yong-Gwon read the resolution requesting local suffrage for permanent foreign residency.

Korean traditional dance were performed after it. A lot of people made 40 numbers of food corners and it was crowded the whole day.
